Our vision is to help children create technology, over mere consumption.
“Don’t just buy a new video game, make one. Don’t just download the latest app, help design one. Don’t just play on your phone, program one.”
– Barack Obama
We aim to teach your child three types of skills – Coding Skills, Logical Computation Skills and Real Life & Social Skills. We understand the importance of activities and games to keep children engrossed while incorporating fun and learning. This ensures that when they are learning a skill, we incorporate how it works in real life and through that impact social skills.
We believe that if parents understand and get involved in the learning process, they can enhance the teaching process of the child.
MOVEFORWARD(100)– THAT’S A WEIRD NAME!
I am a software engineer married to an educator. We are the parents of a precocious 11-year-old. We were excited to learn that our son will be taught coding at school but our excitement was short-lived. Schools make tall claims about how they have Robotics and Programming as part of their curriculum. When we spoke to our son, we were about to find out, to our dismay, that even so-called ‘International’ Schools teach kids how to just make use of software packages created by someone else. In other words, they are teaching kids to be passive ‘consumers’ rather than encouraging them to think about ‘creating’ things.
